GITAM CELEBRATING 29Th FOUNDATION DAY

One of the most high rated educational Institute and first deemed University in Andhra Pradesh GITAM (Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management) University celebrated 29th Foundation day on 14th August, 2009.

As a part of foundation day celebrations IT Building was inaugurated by GITAM President Dr.M.V.V.S.Murthi on of 14-08-2009 at early hours. GITAM University Pro-Chancellor V.Seetaramaih, Secretary B.V.Mohana Rao, Registrar Prof.P.M.Valli and Treasurer V.V.S.N.Murthy participated in this programme.

Established in 1980, Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is the dream child of an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and industrialists of Andhra Pradesh, India, led by popular parliamentarian Dr. M V V S Murthi, M.A., B.L., Ph.D. to set up a world class centre of learning in technology, management and medicine in the picturesque port city of Visakhapatnam. GITAM University was established under the UGC act of 1956 in 2007. Industrialist, parliamentarian and philanthropist Dr. M. V. V. S. Murthi is the former Founder Secretary and the current President of GITAM. GITAM University presently headed by Pro-Chancellor V.Seetaramiaha, Vic-Chancellor Prof.M.Gangadhara Rao, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof.G.Subramanyam, Registrar Prof.P.M.Valli.
